Position Title: Director of Communications Accounts
Position Title/Details: Full Time (up to 40 hours a week) Director of Communication Accounts, Remote with co-working options at our office in Downtown Albuquerque.
Salary & Benefits: $70,000 - $85,000 (flexible based on experience), 100% employer paid health/dental/vision insurance, sick leave. After a successful three month trial, employees are eligible for employer matched 401k (4% match), unlimited paid time off and sick leave.
About: Single Space Strategies is a queer and women-owned full service data and communications firm based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, searching for our newest communications team member. We’re looking for someone who is curious, a team player, and detail-oriented to help us take on exciting communications projects.
Summary: The role of the Director of Communication Accounts is to lead client-based communication deliverables and strategy. The Director will work closely with company leadership, team members, and clients to develop and execute effective communication plans tailored to each client's mission and goals. The Director of Communication Accounts will be supervised by the company President but should be comfortable working independently.
Objectives & Responsibilities of this role
Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive, client-specific communication strategies and written plans that align with the mission and vision of the client.
Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, serving as a spokesperson for certain clients, managing press releases, interviews, and media inquiries.
Project Management: Track project deliverables and deadlines and report status weekly to supervisor and client.
Content Development: Manage the creation of engaging content and graphics for various client channels, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Team Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor and collaborate within the communications team and with other teams to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, as needed.
Client and Partner Relationships: Develop and sustain professional working relationships with all clients, partners, and subcontractors.
Monitor Campaign Success and Performance: Where identified and possible, measure and monitor the success and performance of client communication strategies.
Event Communications/Planning: Where needed for clients, prepare the necessary media and event logistics for public-facing events.
Position Standards
Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, ensuring that laws and regulations are followed.
Build and maintain respectful and professional relationships with clients and partners.
Serve as a representative of the organization, researcher, project manager, proposal content creator, report writer, and budget developer where needed.
Openness to cross-vertical project assistance and writing assignments to ensure capacity is met and long-term company success is prioritized.
Preferred Experience
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Advertising or Marketing or 2-5 years experience in a comparable role.
Preference will be given to applicants who live and work in New Mexico
Preference will be given to applicants with proficiency and creativity in graphic design.
