NextGen, powered by The Semilla project, is designed to prepare young adults in New Mexico for well-paying careers in growing industries. By offering paid pre-apprenticeships, NextGen connects individuals to hands-on training in energy innovation, natural resource management, trades, and other emerging fields that provide long-term job security and economic stability.

In support of the NextGen program, Single Space Strategies developed a landscape analysis of the climate resilience workforce opportunities in New Mexico in preparation for a pilot internship and other pilot programs for young people in the state. We also helped design the PreApprenticeship program.
